Bultaco Frontera “Toni Soler” 250cc prototype 1976

Following the fiasco of the Biflecha project, the riders opted for a more radical solution (with hindsight proved to be valid) of adopting a lighter and more powerful motocross bike (Pursang) to endure competition. This option was much more successful and would result in the production of the Frontera series this pre-production unit belonged to Toni Soler, one of the instigators of the project. It has a 250cc engine with a wide ratio gearbox mounted in a Pursang 125 Mk 9 frame. He won a gold medal with it in the 1976 ISDT.
