Bultaco Matador Mk 5 SD M107
The Mk5 was directly based on the bikes that took part in the Czechoslovakian Six Days and in 1972 would become one of the biggest attractions of the Barcelona motorbike show. Despite Motociclisma magazine describing it as “a variation on a same theme, but much superior to the original”, the fact was that the off-road discipline was becoming what we today know as enduro, a much faster event where bikes with characteristics closer to those used in motocross were needed. The outdated concept of dirt bikes was becoming behind the times. This was the last Matador used in competitions.
